Pembrokeshire Adventure started from a simple idea: good local outdoor providers in Wales shouldn't get buried under big generic booking sites. If you're coming to Pembrokeshire, you should be able to find them easily.

We choose every provider on here for their safety record, the quality of their guiding and how well they know Pembrokeshire. We're people who have built our lives around this coastline, so we know where to go when the swell is right and when it's better to stay off the water.

Many of our providers have been doing this a long time. They were among the first to run their activities in Pembrokeshire, and several helped bring coasteering, sea kayaking and surf instruction to the attention of the wider world.

OUR OFFICE RUNS
ON SUNLIGHT.

Our Pembrokeshire office runs entirely off-grid on a Victron Multi-RS solar array. So far it's produced 6,656 kWh of clean energy, which covers the admin, the kit drying and (most importantly) the kettle. Live figures from the panels are below.

We ask a lot of the providers we list, so it seems fair to hold ourselves to the same standard. The coast is the reason we're here, and running the office on sunshine is one small way of looking after it.

Every provider on this platform holds the relevant qualifications for their discipline: NGB awards, first aid certificates and public liability insurance as a minimum. We don't list anyone we wouldn't send our own family to.

LOCAL EXPERTISE

All our providers are based in Pembrokeshire. They know the tides, how conditions change through the seasons, the quiet spots and the places to avoid. On a coastline that changes as quickly as this one, years of local knowledge count for a lot.

We look for providers whose guests go home having done more than they expected to. A lot of that comes down to the guides (how well they read a group, when they push and when they don't), so that's what we pay most attention to.

A founding partner of Pembrokeshire Adventure. One of Wales' leading surf schools and a long-standing part of the Pembrokeshire surf scene. Founded by Emma and Oli, Blue Horizons runs as a not-for-profit, and it's obvious they love what they do.
